How do counselling and EAP hours work?
While the number of hours available for counselling and additional EAP supports is specific to the plan offered through your employer or coverage provider, the following are some general details about how support hours work at Arcora.
- Hours reset each calendar year and cannot be carried over.
- Depending on the plan, hours may be shared between you and your immediate family members.
- Depending on the plan, hours may be shared between counselling and additional EAP supports (e.g. 12 combined hours toward counselling, eldercare guidance and nutritional guidance)
- For counselling, while most sessions are one hour, the actual length of a session will count toward the hours available on your plan.
- For personal legal guidance, please note that any research time required for your request will count toward the total hours available on your plan. This is in addition to time spent with the legal professional for a phone consultation, and includes research time where a phone consultation doesn’t occur.
