How should I prepare for my first coaching session?
Our coaching services are goal-oriented, so throughout this process you and your coach will work together to incorporate techniques to get you where you want to be. While no formal preparation is required prior to your first coaching session, taking a moment to consider the following questions may help—especially if this is your first time meeting with a coach. Take a few moments to think about the questions below and jot down your answers. This exercise can help you centre your thoughts and feel more comfortable expressing your needs with your coach.
- What do I enjoy most about my work life?
- What do I wish I could improve or get better at?
- When do I feel most energized and motivated?
- What obstacles, if any, am I facing right now?
- What are my long-term aspirations—where do I want to be in a year or five years?
- How do I want to feel about my work life?
- What does success look like for me?
While a little preparation before your first session can go a long way, if you’d rather just dive in when the time comes, that’s fine too! Much like the sessions you’re about to experience, our approach is flexible and made to adapt to you and your needs.
